Day One: The Trip to South Carolina

Kickstarting the Political Adventure

With the sun barely peeking over the horizon in St. Petersburg, Florida, we kicked off our journey to South Carolina for the "First in the Nation/First in the South Primary." The send-off from the regional chancellor added a touch of formality to our departure, but excitement bubbled beneath the surface as we piled into our van.

Our ride? Well, let's just say it was a vibe. The van quickly transformed into a hub of chatter and laughter as we settled in for the long drive ahead. Ritchie, our driver, became an instant friend as we swapped stories about past primaries and speculated about what lay ahead. As we cruised down the highway, the anticipation grew palpable. Arriving at our hotel felt like a milestone. We checked in, dropped our bags, and took a moment to let it sink in – we were really here, ready to dive into the political frenzy of South Carolina.

Dinner was a lively affair, filled with animated discussions about the week ahead. We fueled up on good food and even better company, knowing that the days ahead would be packed with excitement and opportunity.

As we settled into our rooms for the night, the thrill of the journey ahead lingered in the air. With each passing minute, we edged closer to the heart of the action, eager to immerse ourselves in the whirlwind of the primary season.
